The New Zealand Council of Cargo Owners is underwhelmed by the long-awaited New Zealand Freight and Supply Chain Strategy released on Friday by the Ministry of Transport.
“It is difficult to see how this is a ‘strategy’ said Chair Mike Knowles “It appears more of an issues paper setting out challenges that are well known to the sector. While Council welcomes the stated objectives of a collaborative, long term, multi-modal focus we had hoped that after 18 months+ work on this the Government would have led the way forward by setting an action agenda for the priority areas across all freight modes.”
