Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on the options for management of port noise.
The New Zealand Council of Cargo Owners is the principal association representing the shipping supply chain interests of New Zealand’s major cargo owners.
Port Nelson Limited’s continuing ability to operate with the flexibility needed to manage the Port facility that services the top of the south region is critical to the future state of its contribution to the region’s economic and social wellbeing. We consider Port Nelson Limited’s provision of facilities for shipping lines to come to the top of the south region, and services that enable the cargo exchange of goods coming into and leaving the region, is vital to the regional economy and to the ongoing operation of our members.
