The recent NZ Council of Cargo Owners (NZCCO) AGM saw a record number of members and affiliates meet to discuss current supply chain issues and priorities for action. As part of the meeting the Minister of Transport addressed the Council, responding to the range of suggested supply chain fixes that NZCCO had earlier put to the Government.
The AGM, held in Napier, reflected key concerns of cargo owners around critical workforce shortages. Members noted that a particular pressure point for the supply chain is the stevedore workforce, and the potential for this to be exacerbated by mandatory vaccination rules.
